PACIFIC INTERNATION ARBITRATION CENTRE (PIAC) was established in 2006 to meet the demands of the business community for a neutral, efficient and reliable dispute resolution institution in Vietnam PIAC is formed as a not - for - profit organization, and works towards promotion of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) as a mean of dispute resolution and strives to bring together the professionals such as judges, lawyers, arbitrators, mediators, professors and scholars for professional and practical settlement of commercial disputes.
PIAC maintains two lists of arbitrators: list of Domestic arbitrators and list of recommended International Arbitrators.
The list of Recommended International Arbitrators consists of foreign arbitrators being arbitrators of SIAC, HKIAC, and KLRCA.
The parties are free to appoint any arbitrators in the two lists.
